Communication Studies Activities Fund
This is the critically important "all purpose" fund that supports student research and travel, guest speakers, faculty development and nearly everything the school does to accomplish its mission. It funds student awards, receptions, research and teaching needs that are not met in other ways.
Paul Hibbs Memorial Scholarship Fund
This is an academic achievement award given to one, two, or three undergraduate students each year with at least a 3.0 GPA, recognizing academic excellence and co-curricular achievements. Scholarship funds are awarded during Honors Day ceremonies.
John T. Warren Memorial Scholarship Fund
Established to honor the research and scholarship of Professor John T. Warren, this annual award is given to one undergraduate and one graduate student. Students may apply for this scholarship to support academic research or travel to professional conferences.
Robert L. Carr Speech Communication Scholarship Fund
Recipients of this scholarship shall be an undergraduate with junior or senior status or a graduate student majoring in or pursuing a graduate degree in Speech Communication.
Forensics Activities Fund
This fund supports various forensics activities in the school including, but not limited to, support of the Saluki Debate program.
Elizabeth L. Toth Public Relations Student Award Fund
This is an annual award for a graduating senior specializing in public relations who is a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
Dr. Albert J. Weitz Scholarship Fund
Dr. Weitz (Ph.D. 2002) left a bequest in 2013 to establish a scholarship for students in the field of Communication Studies. The scholarships, given regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, are given to Speech Communication majors in good standing who demonstrate financial need.
Public Relations Program Activities Fund
This fund supports the professional development of students specializing in public relations.
